PROPERTIES
& PERFORMANCES |
WEATHERING: Excellent. For
ultimate results should be topcoated with ENVELON High Gloss Acrylic
Finish.
SOLVENT RESISTANCE: Good
environmental resistance. Avoid areas of splash, spillage etc.
CHEMICAL RESISTANCE: Good.
Resists most chemicalenvironments.
ABRASION RESISTANCE: Good.
Resilient membrane.
WATER: Withstands exposure
in most conditions. Notrecommended for immersion or areas of ponding.
TEMPERATURE: Application
range 100C ‑ 300C film service range50C ‑ 900C cured.
FLEXIBILITY: Very Good.

TECHNICAL DATA |
SOLIDS CONTENT: 62%
volumetric solids.
RECOMMENDED COVERAGE:
24.8m at 25 microns.
RECOMMENDED FILM BUILD:
Minimum dry film thickness 600 microns.
DRYING TIME: To touch 30
minutes ‑ 1 hour. Recoat 2‑4 hours. Figures quoted are based on
optimum drying conditions ‑ 25C. Low temperatures andlor high humidity
will greatly reduce drying efficiency. In normal conditions 16 hours
of drying to attain water resistance and 7 days drying to attain
hardness and resistance properties.
APPLICATION METHOD: Brush,
Roller or Soft Broom
THINNING: Use clean water
in moderation.
SHELF LIFE: Excellent long
term storage in unopened containers under proper conditions.
HANDLING: Non‑flammable.
Adopt normal painting precautions. PACKAGING: Available in 1,4,10 and
20 litre containers.

SURFACE PREPARATION |
STEEL & GALVANISED IRON:
All surfaces must be free from grease, oil, rust and flaking material
and must be dry. Areas of rust should be treated suitably by either
blasting or wire brush power tool then coated with A SUITABLE METAL
PRIMER (such as FERONITE PRIMER)and allowed to dry. New surfaces must
be thoroughly degreased using DEGREASING SOLVENT, making sure all
trace of oil has been removed.
MASONARY SURFACES:
Concrete surfaces should be cured for 28 days. All dirt or contaminant
should be removed by stiff brushing or water blasting. Acid etching or
light blasting may be required to provide a suitable surface profile
for adequate adhesion. Porous surfaces should be primed with TREDGRIP
2000 PRIMER, |
APPLICATION |
TREDGRIP IS THIXOTROPIC.
Stir contents thoroughly till smooth.
ROLLER: Select the type of
roller for surface finish required.
BRUSHING: Use a wide soft nylon brush (or similar type). Thin the
first coat to assist penetration. Apply each coat at right angles to
preceeding coat to ensure adequate and even coverage. |

PRECAUTIONS |
Do not apply to surface
for the collection of drinking water, as tainting may occur.
Do not apply when rain is
expected or when temperatures could fall below 10C.
Do not apply to loose or
powdery surfaces. |
SAFETY |
Ensure adequate
ventilation during use and sufficient air flow for the comfort of
operator. Spray painters using this product should comply with State
and Federal regulations. |
