  • Drop in outrigger plan for canoes and kayaks. Pdf or Book

I have acquired a Eureka 155 with outriggers.
The crossbeams were held on with lashings, which gradually worked loose.
This caused the mast to lean and the outriggers went out of alignment.

I have replaced the lashings with bolts through the crossbeams bolted down to eye nuts on saddles so the bolts touch the inside edge of each gunwale.

This holds the assembly true. It is a similar arrangement to the crossbeams bolt anchorage to the outriggers....

  • LuciClear 30 Litre Casting Resin
Date Added: 24/03/2019 by Neil Wright
I’m tested this product on 2 sphere blank casts. I percoated my timber first to seal it then cast them into molds 75mm square to an average depth of 40mm and max depth (small area) of 75mm. The outside temperature was 26C so I mixed the resin for a few minutes, then added translucent dyes and mixed again, before pouring into the molds and placing in my pressure pot at 60psi overnight. The resin mix seemed to be heating quickly, more than the low exotherm resin I normally use so I got the molds into the pressure pot as soon as possible. The next morning I removed the casts from the pot and they looked good without any bubbles or cracks. The resin looked good and clear (albeit coloured). The resin was hard enough to cut and rough sand to shape then coat it with lacquer to seal and bring out colour. Client was very happy with result...

Here is what Leanne had to say (original is on file).
    OMG,
Well I must say that your despatch and delivery times are outstanding.......much like your product.

I used it in a couple of trial pieces on the weekend and there was no need for torching those bloody bubbles, because there were none. I used it to cast a few small items and the clarity is awesome. The product flows so well and pastes, powder pigments and inks all mix in effortlessly. The colours remain vibrant and techniques used with thicker resins give a whole other effect with this. I can't wait to try some deeper castings etc.

    Thanks for the great service.
    Have a great day
    Regards
    Leanne...
