This filter is designed to provide protection against a range of nuisance level gases, with concentrations of up to 1000ppm. These include organic vapours and gases with a boiling point of 65C and above, inorganic vapours and gases (excluding carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide), sulphur dioxide and other acidic gases, and ammonia and amonia derivative vapours and gases.

These filters are used with the Twin Filter half mask. We recommend that the P2 prefilters be added to keep dust and particles out of the gas fileter and so extend its life. They require a pair of prefilter retainer caps to hold them in place.

These filters are not adequate for an oxygen defficient situation.
