4mm Pink Marine Ply BS1088

Red Meranti.  Some is dark and some is light in colour. This was formerly called Pacific Maple (which is a synonym for Meranti and its scientific name is Shorea sp).   It is also sometimes called Philipines Mahogany. Often the sheets have a very appealing grain or figure to them which can look very nice when clear finished.

This plywood is manufactured in Indonesia under the DRAGON brand.  Unlike some that we have rejected over the last few years, this brand looks quite reasonable.  

Specifications

Transport of plywood is fraught with difficulty over long distances. We strongly recommend that you also purchase two 3mm MDF Sheets to act as protector sheets for your plywood. If your order weighs more than 30kg, please give some thought as to how it is going to be unloaded from the delivery truck.

All plywood photographs are typical of the type and size of plywood. Sheets vary within deliveries from one manufacturer and even more so between manufacturers. The relevant standards do permit considerable variation in construction and appearance. Sheet weight shown are calculated using an average to heavier than average density.  Many sheets will weigh less.
