This is a manganese bronze Dee shackle. It has a Pin Diameter of 8mm, a shackle diameter of 8mm and an approximate breaking strain rating of 1600kg. The opening is about 16mm wide. The sample shackles are marked SWL 8 CWT. We haven't tested this how-ever.
