Bendy Plywood

Bendy Plywood is constructed as a 3 ply, the very thin center ply with two rather open surface veneers. It has the ability to bend around a tight radius. The bendy plywood sheets bend either across the length of the sheet, or along the length of the sheet. It is glued with a Melamine Urea Formaldehyde glue, so it is not a true A Bond, but provided it is fully coated in epoxy, it will be fine in interior use in a boat. The flexibility is in the 1220mm (short grain) or the 2440mm (long grain) direction. (Short grain Bendy Ply means that when it is rolled up, you get a cylinder 1.2m long. Long grain Bendy Ply rolled up produces a cylinder 2.4m long.)

1.5mm Exterior Hoop Pine Plywood

Thin hoop pine plywood can also be bent into quite tight radius. This exterior plywood is made to AS2271, uses an A Bond and has A-A Faces.

We can ship plywood to anywhere in Australia, how-ever we STRONGLY RECOMMEND that you also buy 2 of the 3mm MDF Sheets to protect your plywood from damage whilst in transit. If your order weighs more than 30kg, please give some thought as to how it is going to be unloaded from the delivery truck.
