This cloth is 190grams per square metre or 6 oz per square yard. The cloth is 76cm wide, which is 2 foot 6 inches wide approximately.

This cloth is often used in the manufacture of surfboards, especially for the larger boards. 2 layers for the surfboard deck (or perhaps 1 x 4oz plus 1 x 6oz) and one layer for the bottom. It is about 50% stronger than the 4 oz, so its use is needed for the higher performance or larger boards which encounter great loads.

This cloth will give great strength with minimal weight because it has a tight weave and so will absorb only a limited amount of resin.
